The most unique wonders in the world

Those are great works created by skillful hands of man or created by the miracle of nature, which can't help but surprise you when looking at them. Unusual wonders in the world.

1. Bloodfall, Antarctica

The most unique wonders in the world

The "bloodfall" is located in the Victoria Land ice and snow region, an area south of New Zeland in Antarctica. It's a deadly scene, and you'll see a blood red color across the 35-mile (56km) stretch of white snow at Taylor Glacier (Antarctica).
People give it a very creepy name: blood waterfall. In fact, the red color we see is due to the sulfur that has eaten away at bacteria deep under the frozen lakes, thereby producing red iron oxide that dyes a large area of ice and snow. However, the real death comes from the non-biodegradable corpses of the penguins.
These penguin mummies complete Victoria Land's ghostly death picture.
2. Socotra Islands, Yemen

The most unique wonders in the world

The Socotra Islands are isolated between the confluence of the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean and have remained largely unchanged since 100 million years ago. Since then, the nature here has formed with a strange beauty.
The Socotra Islands have been recognized by Unesco as a natural wonder of the world with a flora like no other (bleeding trees, some plants with an unpleasant smell, poisonous cucumbers, a some other plants are shaped like bottles).
There are also 180 species of exotic birds and 700 species of plants found nowhere else in the world.
3. Gate to Hell, Turkmenistan

The most unique wonders in the world

In 1971 in the Karakum Desert, geologists were surprised when their rig suddenly fell into a 300-foot-wide cave filled with natural gas. Then, to ensure the safety of a nearby village, geologists burned methane gas found in the cave, a gas that is toxic to human long-term health.  At first they thought the fire was only burning for a few weeks, but amazingly, more than 40 years later, the fire is still burning brightly. Local people say that at night, the scene here resembles the sacred fire in the Bible, from which people gave it the name "Door to hell".
4. Chapel on the Rock, Arizona, USA

The most unique wonders in the world

Built in 1956, this special chapel is perched on the rocky slopes of Sedona. Through years of erosion, the cliffs surrounding this church have taken the shape of the faces of wild animals: eagles, snakes and foxes.
Sculptor Marguerite Brunswig Staude conceived the idea for this building after she dreamed of a giant cross appearing in the sky next to the Empire State Twin Towers. The chapel was therefore designed in the shape of a giant cross.
5. The Mysterious Eye of the Sahara, Mauritania

The most unique wonders in the world

The "Eye of the Sahara" is located in the Sahara Desert of Mauritana about 25km east of the city of Wadan. If you just stand on the ground, it will be difficult for you to recognize the strange shape of this place. It is shaped like a skillfully cut ring with a diameter of up to 48km.
There are several theories surrounding the formation of the "Saharan eye" such as whether it originated from volcanic deposits that erupted, or a meteorite impact millions of years ago. It has also been suggested that this is part of the lost continent of the Atlantics. However, until now, scientists still do not have an exact answer to this question.
6. Sea town Neft Dashlari (Daşları), Azerbaijan

The most unique wonders in the world

In 1949, according to the original plan, people only built a road about 48km long at sea to transport oil barrels taken from the sea. But then Neft Daşları grew a lot more than it was originally intended. Now people call this place "Oil Rocks" with a system of houses, schools, shops, libraries, bakeries and services like a town on the mainland.
This town on the Caspian Sea so far has more than 5,000 residents, 198km of roads with a modern cinema. People here are still proud when their town is compared to the "modern version of Venice" of the world.
